Although Route History Museum operates as a for-profit organization, it exists with a powerful social mission — to preserve, interpret, and share the untold stories of Black travelers, entrepreneurs, and communities along historic Route 66. Companies, organizations, and institutions can play a vital role in sustaining this mission through creative partnerships and investments that make a measurable community impact.

Ways to Partner and Invest

1. Sponsor Exhibits or Educational Programs
Businesses can underwrite or co-sponsor traveling and in-house exhibits, special installations, or educational programs. Sponsorships can include branded recognition on-site, in promotional materials, and across digital platforms, allowing partners to align their brand with cultural preservation and education.

2. Fund Student Visits or Field Trips
Organizations can purchase group tickets or field trip packages for students from underserved schools, giving young people access to Route History’s immersive exhibits and virtual reality experiences that bring The Negro Motorist Green Book and Route 66 history to life.

3. Support Community Events
Corporate sponsors may host or co-present community events, lecture series, and cultural programming at the museum. These collaborations create authentic visibility and engagement with local audiences and travelers.

4. Invest in the Emerging Black Cultural District
Route History is at the center of developing Springfield’s growing Black Cultural District. Businesses can invest in this larger vision—supporting public art, local business development, and historic preservation projects that expand tourism and economic growth.

5. Donate Services or Resources
Companies can contribute in-kind support such as marketing, technology, printing, media exposure, or volunteer engagement to enhance Route History’s reach and impact.
